WILSON THEODORE, et al. v. EQUIFAX INFORMATION SERVICES,LLC Settlement

Civil Action No. 2:24-cv-224 in United States District Court - Eastern District of Virginia (Norfolk Div.)

Case Home

You Could Be Affected by a Class Action Settlement involving Consumer Reporting

  • There is a proposed Settlement in a class action lawsuit against Equifax Information Services, LLC.  Equifax maintains that it has not done anything wrong.

  • The notice explains the Settlement, the Settlement Class, and the legal rights and options of people included in the class.

  • Your receipt of the notice does not mean you are in the class. You are only in the Settlement Class if you financed a solar power installation through Power Home Solar, also known as Pink Energy, and if your financing involved at least one of the following entities: Goodleap LLC, Solar Mosaic LLC, Sunlight Financial Holdings, Inc., Cross River Bank, or Dividend Solar Finance, LLC.

  • This Settlement requires Equifax to remove credit accounts used to finance Pink Energy solar systems from Equifax credit reports if the credit was obtained by or through Goodleap LLC, Solar Mosaic LLC, Sunlight Financial Holdings, Inc., Cross River Bank, or Dividend Solar Finance, LLC.

  • Records show that you may have obtained a solar power installation from Pink Energy and had one of these lenders report a Pink Energy related account in your Equifax credit file.

  • The Settlement does not provide any monetary payment and does not release any claims you may have for damages.

  • Because this is a settlement only for injunctive relief, there is no right to exclude yourself.  You have a right to object to the settlement.

  • You should read the notice carefully to learn whether you are a member of the Settlement Class.
